4K, Dolby Atmos… Canal+ pulls out all the stops for the Champions League final

BRIEF // For the final of the Champions League this Saturday evening, Canal + has put the dishes in the big ones. The best-equipped subscribers will be able to enjoy a 4K HDR Dobly Vision stream with Dolby Atmos and binaural sound.

This year, the Champions League final takes place at the Stade de France. Although TF1 and RMC Sport are also broadcasting the event, Canal+ has been chosen to produce the evening’s images for television worldwide. And for the occasion, the encrypted channel went all out. The match will be broadcast in the classic way on the usual fourth channel, but a special channel will be available to promote maximum immersion.

From channel 291, in the Sports and UEFA Champions League themes, you can watch the final in 4K HDR Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos (8.4 rendering) with binaural sound. This experience will obviously only be accessible if you have the appropriate equipment: an Apple TV 4K, an Nvidia Shield, an Amazon Fire Stick or a Dolby Vision compatible TV.

Otherwise, you can always fall back on the match in “simple” 4K in SDR on TF1 4K, available via Orange (channel 996), Bouygues (channel 37), Free (channel 101) and SFR (channel 77). The Canal+ UHD channel, accessible via MyCanal, will broadcast the match in the same configurations, as will RMC Sport 4K.
