1. Close the shutters during the day

A basic advice but always useful to remember when the temperatures are panicking. This is the first reflex to have: closing the shutters to prevent heat from entering. The best thing to do is to open the windows at night when the temperature drops, to bring in the maximum freshness into your home and sleep better, and to close them at 9 a.m.

2. Unplug electrical appliances

We don't always think about it, but our electronic devices like television, internet box, phone chargers and so many others produce heat. Ditto for the light fixtures, it’s summer, it’s late at night, so no need to leave the lights on which will increase the temperature. What type of plant to choose? Rather those with broad leaves. We do not hesitate to moisten them regularly.

4. Hang a wet sheet in front of your window

Hanging a wet sheet (or cloth) in front of a window brings a little freshness into its interior. As it evaporates, the water will bring a feeling of freshness to the room. In the same vein, you can also moisten the floors or pass the mop so that the humidity cools the room.
