They enjoyed a day on Lake Zug. For reasons that are still unclear, the accident occurred. On Sunday shortly after 4 p.m., the Zug police received an emergency call. A motorboat sank 700 meters from the bank near Walchwil ZG. A person was floating in the water.
The emergency services immediately deployed on site and were able to rescue a 16-year-old man from the water. It turned out that the rescued man had been on the motorboat with a second person.
Unsuccessful search
The search for the 77-year-old was immediately launched by boat and from the air. So far, the missing person has not been found, as the Zug police announced on Monday night.
The 16-year-old was admitted to the hospital after the first aid by the ambulance service.
