7th company: this scene which required 8 days of shooting! : Current Woman Le MAG

Nothing better than cult comedies to keep smiling during confinement. TF1 airs April 9 the first film of the 7th company: But where did the 7th company go?. The saga follows the adventures of three French soldiers from the 106th Transmission Regiment trying to escape the capture of the Germans after the 1940 debacle. The three heroes, Jean Lebefvre (Pitivier), Aldo Maccione (Tassin) and Pierre Mondy (Sergent Chaudard) compete in clumsiness and stunts... Extraordinary scenes that make viewers cry with laughter.

Filming in extreme conditions

As the story goes Allociné, the shooting was not always (a long river) quiet. One of the scenes required 8 days of work … due to numerous technical difficulties. This is one of the most famous scenes of the 7th company: the one where the three heroes find themselves naked in the water, swept away by the current, before finding themselves trapped in a mill. The shooting took place in the Epte water, a tributary of the Seine in the middle of August. Despite the heat, the water remains frozen due to the current. The winds are very strong and the props must be cunning to prevent the actors from getting carried away. They install wire at the bottom of the water so that they hang onto it. The troubles don't stop there. The water is not deep enough in some places. The three heroes must crawl on the pebbles, to give the illusion that they are always carried by the current. Very physical shooting conditions … which probably marked the actors.
