Coronavirus is not the only word to arouse crowds, the term telework frightens the conversations around this new way of working. Between happy workers and others more recalcitrant, the study carried out by the group specializing in social protection Malakoff Humanis, shared by France Inter, is very timely.

According to the figures given, the share of employees who "wish to request telework after confinement"increased 11 points from April, to reach 84% of employees. And 44% of teleworkers (+12 points) wish to request it on a regular basis.

In the month of May, among the 72% of employees declaring to work, more than half (57%) of them were teleworking. Employees in the private sector represent 41% of the entire study, and half have experienced this form for the first time.

For 43% of these new teleworkers, the crisis has positively changed their opinion on telework, says the study by Malakoff Humanis. A total of 73% of teleworkers say they are satisfied with the situation, an increase of 7 points compared to April.

What are the reasons for their satisfaction? There would be more flexibility and flexibility for 80% of teleworkers interviewed, more autonomy and responsibility (44%), better reconciliation of professional and personal life (42%), more commitment and efficiency in work (34%).

However, this work "requires vigilance in matters of health". More than a quarter of teleworkers (27%) declare that this practice had a negative impact on their physical health: decrease in physical activity for 44% of respondents, deterioration in work posture (45%), sleep (33%) and eating practices (25%), explains the survey. And for 31% of employees, teleworking in confinement had a negative impact on their psychological health: 48% said they had trouble disconnecting from work and 39% often said they were stressed. The latter has increased since the crisis for 36% of them.
