Will there be a season 5?

Fans of 9-1-1: Lone Star can rest assured, the series will be back for a season 5. Last May, the American channel FOX, which broadcasts the series across the Atlantic, announced the renewal for a burst of additional episodes. Unfortunately, we will have to be patient to find out what awaits the firefighters of the 126th.

Indeed, according to information from TVLinewhile we all expected the series to return to the air in spring 2024, the channel decided to postpone the broadcast of season 5 of 9-1-1: Lone Star until next fall.

At issue: the strike of writers and actors which delayed the resumption of filming of American series. Other bad news: if Fox had initially planned to order 18 episodes, season 5 of 9-1-1: Lone Star should ultimately only consist of 12 episodes.

Created by Ryan Murphy, the series is still in the heyday of Fox today since with its 5.9 million viewers on average, it is in second place among the channel’s most watched dramas behind the parent series 9- 1-1.

Note also that the latter, which was canceled at the end of its season 6 by Fox, will join the ABC program schedule from next season for its season 7. The channel’s decision to end 9-1-1, which is one of the channel’s most popular series, is primarily financial, with one episode costing more than $9 million to produce.

You will therefore have to be patient to discover season 5 of 9-1-1: Lone Star on M6. In the meantime, discover the last two episodes of season 4 this Saturday, December 16 from 9:10 p.m. on the channel. The first four seasons of the series are available in full on the Disney+ platform.
