Good prices but lack of supply
Aldi Blumen is a typical average candidate. The selection of flowers is mediocre and there are hardly any other gifts in the shop. The service offers a good overview on the website and is one of the few florists to offer a delivery subscription. The low shipping costs are also positive.
We liked that
- Cheap Shipping

We didn’t like that

Conclusion & alternatives
Aldi offers the sale of flowers not only in its branches, but also online. Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd are cooperating on the offer. According to the Aldi principle, buying flowers here should be quick, easy and cheap. You can read what the portal can do and whether it is suitable for the upcoming Mother’s Day in the following test.
The selection
Around 64 different bouquets and potted plants were in the Aldi flower catalog at the time of the test. So the selection is solid, but competitors like Fleurop have a lot more to offer. Aldi promises you a freshness guarantee of seven days for cut flowers and plants. Prices per bouquet usually amount to 20 to 30 euros, but sometimes reach up to 70 euros.
In addition to Valentins and Bloom & Wild, Aldi is also the only flower delivery service that offers a delivery subscription. You have the choice between the gift subscription, which arrives at a fixed rhythm and includes a free greeting card, and the flex subscription, where you can change the duration and price at any time. In addition, every tenth bouquet is free.
With online florists, it is common practice that you can add little touches to the bouquet. Aldi can’t even come close to keeping up here. You can choose from 23 greeting cards, but only eight other presents, which are made up of chocolate, vases and small stuffed animals. In contrast to the competition, the range seems tiny.
Simple page structure
The structure of the flower shop is unsurprisingly reminiscent of Aldi’s online shop. In the upper menu bar you will find a categorization according to flowers, types of flowers, occasions and plants. There is also a guide with care tips and gift ideas. The sub-items of the categories mentioned are reduced to a few aspects, so you won’t be overwhelmed by a mass of options. You will find your way around quickly and will receive all the necessary information.
Order
A click on the corresponding bouquets reveals exactly which flowers they are composed of and how big the arrangement is. The ordering process at Aldi works without registration. Only the specification of the recipient data is required. The sender can choose to remain anonymous to the recipient. If you decide to register, you can use the addresses you have already used and save time when placing new orders.
Insight Aldi flowers
We’ll show you how the Aldi Blumen website is structured.
As already mentioned, you can add a greeting card to your package for an additional charge of 1.99 euros. You are free to choose the text. Alternatively, you can send a free greeting text on the delivery note. Since you are less articulate, you can opt for templates and quotes sorted by occasion.
At this point you can also add another extra and optionally send the whole thing in a free gift box. You complete the process by entering the sender address and the payment method.
shipping options
Standard shipping costs EUR 5.95. However, Aldi states that delivery can be delayed by one to two working days in exceptional cases. If you want your bouquet to arrive on time, you have to use premium shipping for 11.95 euros. However, this shipping option is not available for all items. Orders placed by 3 p.m. and by 11 a.m. on Saturdays are usually delivered on the next working day. Delivery is by DHL or DPD.
