The man from the Spittal district was busy in a preparation plant for wooden boards around noon. When cleaning the boards, a board slipped over the stop, which he probably wanted to bring back into the correct position.

To do this, he entered the facility. At that very moment, however, the flap of the garbage pick-up lowered and jammed the man’s head. stuck. A forklift driver driving by recognized the situation and, together with a colleague, freed the 27-year-old.

The man was flown to the Lienz hospital by the “C 7” emergency doctor’s helicopter.
