E-bikes for all body sizes: new models from Ampler presented

Ampler is launching two new e-bikes that are quite different. The Axel model is designed as a touring bike, while the small Juna is designed to cut a fine figure, especially in the city. However, the e-bikes are not real bargains.

Ampler: Two new e-bikes from Estonia

The Estonian manufacturer Ampler has presented two new e-bikes, which will be available shortly. With the Juna model, Ampler is primarily targeting people who are rather short, while Axel is intended for people up to two meters tall, depending on the variant.

The E-Bike Axel is intended as a touring bike and the smaller version weighs 16.3 kilos. The manufacturer specifies an average range of 70 kilometers, the battery is permanently installed in the down tube of the e-bike. The e-bike is designed to be roadworthy according to German law. The manufacturer has dispensed with a gear shift, instead a maintenance-free belt drive is used. Disc brakes can be found at the front and rear.

New is a Display in the top tube, which provides information about the battery status and the expected range. It turns off automatically while driving to avoid distraction (source: Ampler).

With the Juna model, which has a lowered center bar, the focus is more on a comfortable ride in the city. The e-bike is available in two sizes and for people between 1.50 and 1.74 meters designed. As with Axel, the range of the battery is up to 70 kilometers. Both e-bikes have Bluetooth and GPS. The bike can be located via an accompanying app.
