Yet another video game will be brought to the small screen very soon. This time it’s the excellent A Plague Tale: Innocence which will serve as a source of inspiration for a completely new series.

It was in May 2019 that Asobo Studio made an impression with the intriguing A Plague Tale: Innocence. Published by Focus Home Interactive, the game follows the adventures of Amicia and her little brother Hugo in the heart of France (in Guyenne) in 1348. This duo tries both to survive the Hundred Years War but also to the black plague and its hordes of rats.

A director already found

Thus, it was Mathieu Turi who formalized the existence of the series A Plague Tale through a tweet. He is known for having filled the role of assistant director on blockbusters such asInglorious Basterds or Lucy. He also directed the horror film Hostile and a science fiction feature film titled Meander.

That’s all we know about this adaptation for now. In parallel with the TV series, the Bordeaux studio Asobo is working on A Plague Tale: Requiem
which will be released on PS5, Xbox Series and PC this year.
