Remember me is the little nugget to see on the big screens right now. This feature film traces the story of Claude, a theater critic in his seventies. One day, he discovers that his childhood sweetheart, a famous actress named Lily, has Alzheimer's. While she is interned in a nursing home, he decides to infiltrate as a patient to find her. Remember me thus traces their touching love story and how Claude will try to remind Lily of their past together. The film does a lot of good and reminds us how much we love this kind of feature film. On the occasion of its release on September 9, we decided to take a look at why we love film romance.

They inspire us

The couple's stories are quite simply dreaming. Whether it's a sad ending or a happy ending, we are deeply inspired by this unmissable genre. Love on the big screen has real power. Watching a movie like Remember me, we want to be part of the story, to live it and, above all, it gives hope. These works show that love never died. People with these feelings seem inexhaustible and indestructible. It’s incredibly inspiring.

They remind us of our own stories

Often universal, love stories in cinema touch viewers right in the heart because they are genuine. This is the case of Remember me which traces a love of youth. He thus recalls that certain encounters are unforgettable despite the passage of time. This feature film allows you to recognize yourself in it, to make those who watch it nostalgic without making them sad. Namelessly beautiful.

They keep reinventing themselves

Romance is still surprising in cinema despite the impressive number of feature films that have been made to date. Remember me is proof of this since this film evokes an unprecedented love story. We deal with a delicate subject with Alzheimer's but we focus more on the gentleness that emanates from Claude's feelings. Then, we laugh, we cry and thanks to this, love stories manage to constantly reinvent themselves: because they are told in multiple tones.

They transmit an often societal message

While not all movie love stories are like this, some evoke a real social issue. These are often impossible love stories where the characters are confronted with their social backgrounds. Often, these idylls evoke a considerable lack of tolerance for the world around the protagonists. Although anchored in fiction, it often evokes our society. This social dimension pleases the most and brings a very interesting reflection to the spectators.

The film Remember me hits theaters on September 9th. Directed by Martin Rosete, it has established itself as one of the greatest love stories to hit the big screen this year.
