Celyad: Filippo Petti resigns as CEO

(CercleFinance.com) – Celyad announced on Friday the resignation of its Managing Director (CEO) Filippo Petti, who will be replaced on an interim basis by Michel Lussier, the company’s co-founder.

In a press release, the biotechnology company indicates that Filippo Petti has not only resigned from his functions as managing director, but also from those of chief financial officer and member of the board of directors in order to pursue other professional opportunities.

He was given a consultancy mission until the end of July to ensure an effective transition pending the identification of a new leader.

In the meantime, it is Michel Lussier, the chairman of the board of directors, who has been appointed with immediate effect to succeed him.

Lussier, co-founder of the company, had been a member of the board of directors since 2007.

To replace him, the board has appointed Hilde Windels, an executive from the life sciences industry, as chair of the board, effective immediately.
