It’s been a little over a week since a bug affecting all turrets in the game affects players. And the latest patch didn’t fix the problem.
League of Legends turrets have been down for over a week. Many hoped to see these repaired on the occasion of patch 12.15 on live servers, but nothing has changed.
Discovered by the Youtuber and content creator Vandiril, this bug causes turret shot damage not to increase after the first hit. Instead of inflicting up 120% more damage on third hit, turret damage caps only 40%.
ALL TURRETS have been BUGGED for at least 8+ days.
On Patch 12.14 the Turret shots damage increase happens only once (40%) instead of 3 times (up to 120%). This is absolutely MASSIVE and it already impacted competitive play too. pic.twitter.com/0Ne9kME6vf—Vandiril (@Vandiril) August 9, 2022
This bug, which greatly reduces the risks of tower dives, has even already impacted the competition of the game. Indeed, during an LPL game Between Weibo Gaming and FunPlus Phoenixthe former world champion, Kang “TheShy” Seung-lok was seen taking multiple turret hits and barely taking any damage. It is also Weibo Gaming, the team of TheShy, who won the series 2-0.
This major bug is present in the game for at least eight days. However, he could have been present since July 27, the date of the release of patch 12.14. The reason and cause of this bug remains unknown and no mention of turret changes was included in the latest patch. For now, the developers have not yet communicated around the bug.
