The shooting of Ridley Scott's (83, "Blade Runner") new film "House of Gucci" has been going on since February 2021. The film studio Universal Pictures has now published a first picture for the biographical crime thriller, which shows the two main actors Adam Driver (37) and Lady Gaga (34). The fact that the couple in elegant winter fashion and in front of a snowy mountain landscape are really the two stars, will probably only become apparent to some at second glance.

The film is based on the book "The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamor and Greed" by Sara Gay Forden. Driver plays Maurizio Gucci, the grandson of Guccio Gucci, who founded the world-famous fashion house in 1947. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga slips into the role of Maurizio Gucci's (ex-) wife Patrizia Reggiani (72), who was given the name "Black Widow" after his murder in 1995. Three years later she was finally sentenced to 29 years in prison for the murder of her ex-husband. The sentence was finally shortened to 26 years, but in 2016 she was released after 18 years for good conduct.

An awfully rich family

In addition to Driver and Lady Gaga, other world stars will move into the "House of Gucci". Jeremy Irons (72) plays Rodolfo Gucci, father of Driver's character Maurizio. Meanwhile, Al Pacino (80) will play Aldo Gucci, the eldest son of founder Guccio Gucci and brother of Rodolfo. Oscar winner Jared Leto (49) slips into the role of Aldo Gucci's son Paolo.

Filmmaker Ridley Scott is known for being able to finish his films in no time. Even if filming only started this February in Rome, the film is expected to hit US cinemas on November 24, 2021. It is not yet known when the star-studded strip will appear in this country.
