A BBC journalist victim of a violent malaise in the middle of the debate (video)
In the middle of a televised debate between two members of the UK government, BBC journalist Kate McCann collapsed on the ground, victim of a violent illness. A very stressful scene.
Very unusual moment on English television. While hosting a televised debate between Liz Truss, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and Rishi Sunak, a Member of Parliament from the United Kingdom, BBC journalist Kate McCann suffered a violent illness. Without warning or showing any warning signs, the latter collapsed on the floor, which caused a moment of great panic on the set.
As she was speaking, Liz Truss screamed “Oh my god”, noticing the violent fall of the journalist. Logically, the televised debate was canceled. The broadcast was hastily interrupted by the channel’s management, who logically did not know the consequences of their journalist’s discomfort. After a first medical report, the doctors decreed that the debate will have to be rescheduled later.
Reporter Kate McCann fainted live
The English television channel tweeted directly to update its viewers: “Our reporter Kate McCann passed out on air tonight. Although she feels better, the medical opinion has asked that we not continue the debate. We apologize to our listeners.”.
After news of the incident broke, supporters posted messages on social media wishing the BBC political editor a speedy recovery.
