a colossal surprise from Netflix that will drive you crazy!

One Piece and Netflix have just given us an absolutely colossal surprise announcement. As soon as the news appeared, the fans were already fired up, which means…

No need to make introductions, I suppose. Everyone knows One Piece. It’s THE manga that’s been a hit in recent years, whether in paper version or in anime. The series has become a real must-have all over the world and is multiplying projects. Recently, it was on Netflix that the franchise came to shine with its fresh and well-crafted live-action series, which was a great success, in addition to being rather well received by fans. There is also a season 2 on the way. But the platform also has other projects in addition to a big film serving as a prequel…

One Piece returns to Netflix with a big surprise!

Yes, Netflix has just made a colossal announcement, a surprise that no one expected and which is already causing a lot of reaction on social networks. The SVOD platform, in partnership with WT Studio (The attack of the Titansseasons 1 to 3, Spy x Family) and the creators of the manga, will release a brand new series. You read correctly, One Piece will return with a brand new anime exclusively on Netflix. Little information at the moment except that a priori it would be a remake of the first episodes of the anime.

The One Piece (that’s its name) would begin with the legendary East Blue arc and should therefore bring up to date the drawings, animation and staging of the emblematic episodes of the series which still date from the 90s, in case where you would have forgotten it. Unfortunately, we don’t have a release date for The One Piece on Netflix yet. We’ll have to wait.

A new series and a project that already promises to be enormous

The news has barely been announced when it is already causing reactions everywhere on social networks. Fans seem to be as hot as coals for this big comeback of the manga. With a talented production studio, The One Piece could well be of quality. In any case, it looks huge. Resuming the manga from the beginning already promises to be a particularly tricky and long-term project.

In any case, this new program does not arrive there by chance. Never has the license been so popular. The new chapters of the manga follow one another, the anime is a hit. Not to mention that the success of the live-action series has also allowed a large number of neophytes to discover the universe, a rich and colorful world which is a little abrupt to approach in anime these days. Either we have to deal with episodes that have aged very poorly, or we start following a twenty-year-old manga which has more than 1000 episodes. It calms down a little. We might as well tell you that a new One Piece series is more than welcome.

Hype or not?
