A demo for Over Jump Rally, unofficial remake of SEGA Rally on Unreal Engine 5

Alessandro Schiassi, a self-taught VFX Artist who became a self-taught video game developer, had already distinguished himself eight years ago by participating in the making of the fan film Metal Gear Solid Philanthropy, a particularly polished production during which he had made his debut as a creator of special effects. With Over Jump Rallyhe adopted the same work methodology: developing an amateur project with the aim of mastering the Unreal Engine 5.

As of now, SEGA has still not issued a formal notice and the Italian developer has just released a first demo of its game, offering the race TheForest and the legendary Lancia Delta. Clear about the chances of his project succeeding, Alessandro Schiassi intends to continue his efforts as long as possible: “ I plan to complete the forest circuit with a basic Time Attack mode, release it for free as a playable beta, and see what Sega’s response will be. “, he explains on the SEGA Fan Games HQ forum. ” If they decide to bless the project and make it official, I would be honored to complete the whole game and maybe add some extra features. Worst case scenario, I’ll just use all the resources to make cool cutscenes with the gorgeous OST playing in the background…and that would be GAME OVER, YEAH! he concludes with humor.

The demo is now available and downloadable right here. We wish him a positive response from SEGA.
