For 2024, no less than 120 countries will be represented at Porte de Versailles with 40 pavilions (an increase of 30%), with the notable presence of the United Kingdom. France is naturally not left out with 36 institutions or regions represented.
Japan and sustainability in the spotlight
Among the myriad countries present at VivaTech 2024, Japan will be the guest of honor with around forty companies and start-ups on the Japanese pavilion in different fields such as entertainment, but also artificial intelligence or technology. ecology. Ecology which will be a strong theme of this 2024 edition with 10% of the show area dedicated to sustainable tech (sustainable tech) and positive impact. As a symbol of this mandatory transition towards a more sustainable world, a bridge between the two exhibition halls will be dedicated to startups, innovations and associations working in a responsible technology approach.

Naturally, artificial intelligence will interfere almost everywhere in VivaTech. This technology, which is several decades old, is revolutionizing our society. In a recent barometer conducted by Wavestone among business leaders, 88% announced that they wanted to invest in this area. Discussions with rising personalities such as Arthur Mensch, co-founder and president of Mistral, or Dario Amodei, co-founder and CEO of Anthropic, will be organized to discuss not only the commercial, but also the societal challenges of artificial intelligence. VivaTech will also be able to count on the unwavering presence of the best-known Frenchman in the field of artificial intelligence, Yann Lecun, chief AI scientist at Meta. Among the innovations presented, we will highlight, for example, AI-assisted limb prostheses from Esper Bionics, or the harness for the visually impaired which has an “intelligent” camera to guide the person.

Mobility will occupy a very special place this year, notably with a collaboration with Tesla which will present its entire ecosystem. But other announcements or exclusives are expected during the show, in particular with Peugeot / Stellantis, which will present its Inception concept car and its Hypersquare. A public Saturday
Finally, gaming and esports will be the main themes of Saturday, a day open to the general public with interesting meetings on video game design and the presence of Sarah Beaulieu, director of storytelling at Ubisoft.
