These are in fact the famous mechas, present on the first Helldivers released in 2015 and already oh how much appreciated at the time! In this video, we see the player aboard this metal monster that a Warhammer 40,000 Dreadnought would not have denied. Its arsenal seems to be modular, here with machine guns and a missile launcher. It is also capable of moving 360 degrees. In addition, the player can leave the mecha at any time to continue the fight in “pedestrian” mode.
A beautiful machine that still needs a little polish
If the leaked video is intended to be reassuring as to the progress of the developers on the mechas, you will still have to show a little patience to see them arrive in Helldivers 2. Thus, server stability remains the studio’s top priority. Balancing the power of the mechas must also be considered, so that missions on the ground remain nervous and intense, despite their imposing firepower.
