The Kar98k of Warzone, is one of the most popular sniper rifles since Modern Warfare. However, it is now the victim of a brutal bug that prevents players from aiming.
While Warzone’s biggest problem has long been the prevalence of cheaters, many would say that worry has been more than matched by the incredible number and severity of bugs that have plagued the game since its inception.
We’ve seen Buy Stations send players back to the in-game menu. We’ve also seen console players find themselves unable to play. Or, the return of the infamous (and long considered extinct) problem of the demonic pistol.
Today, a problem specific to the Kar98k renders it completely unusable.

Modern Warfare’s sniper rifle (technically classified as a sniper rifle) has long been one of the most popular weapons in the game.
Unfortunately, it’s now much weaker, due to a weird bug that completely blacks out the bezel.
Images shared by the player u/mike_katz demonstrate his inability to use the telescope of his Kar98k.
The bug means that the only viable way to use the sniper is to fire from the hip, which, as anyone who’s ever played CoD knows, is next to useless.
A number of other players responded that they had similar issues with the Kar98k, but the cause of these issues was unclear.
Some players have suggested this may be a bug with the “dynamic lighting” mechanic Warzone uses, but these are approximations.
Whatever the cause, gamers will no doubt want a quick fix. To finally ensure that the sniper rifle remains usable in Warzone.
