Dragon’s Dogma 2 is one of the most anticipated releases of the year, but how long will it take us to finish its story? We had the beginnings of a response.
The year 2024 is already full of big releases, and it’s only March. We immediately think of FF7 Rebirth, but soon, we will be able to launch into Dragon’s Dogma 2. The long-awaited sequel to the famous RPG from Capcom. A long adventure is brewing, and we can’t wait to be able to give ourselves body and soul to it. And on this subject, how long will it take us to complete the game? And more precisely the main plot?
Dragon’s Dogma 2, a lifespan similar to the first opus?
We kind of got the answer to that question. Indeed, the game’s director, Hideaki Itsuno, recently spoke with Game Informer. He notably explained that the story of Dragon’s Dogma 2 will extend for approximately the same length as that of its predecessor, but not for everyone. To quote his words: “for players who only focus on what needs to be done to complete the story, it won’t change drastically compared to the first opus”. That’s all very nice, but it doesn’t give us anything specific. We therefore need a booster shot, and for that, we will turn to the HowLongToBeat site.
If we look at what has been recorded, we see that on average, the Dragon’s Dogma campaign takes around 37 hours to complete. We are talking about the main story, and not about other activities to do like side quests. Afterwards, it is simply an indicator and it in no way means that it is exactly the time you need to overcome it. The same goes for what follows. Itsuno himself recalls this: “there are a lot of things that could attract the attention of players and those people, they will probably see that their playing time is much longer”.
