A national blackout disrupts the SFR network for a few hours

An incident disrupted the SFR network on Tuesday, October 26 in the afternoon, before being resolved, according to the operator, cited by Numerama. According to user reports, the network failure began around 2 p.m. and mainly concerned the Paris region. The blackout also affected the cities of Lyon, Marseille, Strasbourg, Rennes, Nice and Montpellier.

The number of alerts on the DownDetector fault reporting site amounted to 3,500 in the afternoon. The operator confirmed on Twitter that it was a “National breakdown”, without specifying the reasons for these malfunctions. “The incident which disrupted the mobile communications of some subscribers in the early afternoon has been resolved”, said the operator in an email sent to editors in the middle of the afternoon, according to Numerama.
