a new feature has arrived, everyone loves it!

As always, the PS5 offers many changes to its users over time. This time, it concerns the PlayStation Store which offers a great new feature.

Sony’s PlayStation Store was recently updated with the introduction of a new five-star rating system, allowing users to rate the PS5 and PS4 games they own.

The PS5 is enriched with a new system

Although it’s unclear exactly when this feature will be implemented, it has been noticed within the last 12 hours. To assign a rating, users can go to the PlayStation Store, select “View Product” and then see the game’s current rating below the logo. Clicking on it takes them to a screen that shows the total number of ratings the game received as well as a percentage breakdown of votes for each rating. It is important to clarify that only games purchased, downloaded or added to the user’s library can be rated. The example is given in particular for Baldur’s Gate 3. Which has a rating of 4.6 stars on PS5.

A good idea

Adding a five-star rating system to the PlayStation Store (PS5/PS4) is a great idea for several reasons. First of all, this system offers valuable assistance for potential buyers. When considering purchasing a game, it is often difficult to judge its quality or whether it will meet our expectations.

Ratings and reviews from other PS5 players provide valuable information on this subject. They provide a clearer picture of the overall experience, based on community experiences. This helps reduce the risk of disappointing purchases and choose titles that better suit tastes and preferences.

Finally, this system encourages greater community involvement. Players like to share their experiences and give their opinions on games that they liked or didn’t like. By allowing PS5 users to rate games, Sony is creating a platform where gamers can express themselves and feel heard. This strengthens the feeling of belonging to a community. This rating system is not new, however, as it has existed for a long time on Steam (for example). And we must admit that it has proven itself.
