After the half-hearted confirmation of Goku Super Saiyan 4 in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, Bandai Namco unveils a new face for the game’s cast.
Goku’s actor in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero has hinted that there will be DB GT content at one point or another. In reality, the question is rather when and how? Bandai Namco could indeed favor adding GT characters after launch, and through DLC on the model of Xenoverse 2 or FighterZ. The players are hanging on the lips of the publisher who, for his part, prefers to first focus his communication on the characters who are sure to be available day one.
The Dragon Ball Sparking Zero roster is growing again
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will be available on October 11, 2024 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S as well as PC. And for the moment, the roster is already loaded with new characters announced at Summer Game Fest 2024, like Cell Perfect, Goku Ultra Instinct and many others. A few weeks earlier, Bandai Namco also guaranteed access to Gohan from the future, without his left arm which he lost during a clash against Dr. Gero’s cyborgs. A great first in the history of Dragon Ball games which delighted a large number of fans.
But as always in these cases, there are dissatisfied people and everyone has their own request. In recurring complaints, the name of “ Great Saiyaman » came up often. This is a superheroic version of Gohan seen in DBZ and who will be on the roster of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. It was the official games account which made the announcement with the first extracts with a fight between Great Saiyaman, Videl and Frieza.
An addition which was much requested and which already pleases some… but not others. Some are disappointed that a slot was reserved for Great Saiyaman, and not for a character from Dragon Ball GT for example, while others are hoping for Great Saiyaman 2. The vigilante version of Videl. Maybe Bandai Namco is waiting a little longer before making this reveal? What is certain is that the publisher will not be able to satisfy everyone from the start and that there will inevitably be some disappointed people among the lot.
