A PC without an OS is a price that is collapsing: discover Lenovo PCs at low prices for the French Days

The French Days are an opportunity to score good deals. So far, nothing too surprising. For this edition, however, Lenovo has decided to innovate with an original solution which lowers the price of its laptop PCs even further: removing Windows from the equation.

To celebrate this 2024 edition of French Days, Lenovo has decided to launch a series of promotions that are, to say the least, interesting on its laptops and peripherals, screens in mind. The opportunity to save up to 900 euros, depending on the models and configurations offered.

These fairly significant discounts are not only due to French Days. Indeed, Lenovo has decided to reduce the cost of some of its models thanks to a simple trick: selling its machines without an operating system.

The Lenovo French Days offers in brief:

ThinkBook: the safe bet for teleworking and leisure

Are you looking for a laptop to accompany you at home and away, whether for teleworking or relaxing after work? The ThinkBook 16 G6 ABP from Lenovo has some solid assets to convince you.

Starting with its format which ensures certain comfort of use, especially for long working sessions. Its 16-inch IPS WUXGA screen with a 16:10 ratio combined with anti-blue light treatment not only offers a good working space, but also helps reduce visual fatigue. Beyond display comfort, this 16-inch format also allows this ThinkBook to feature a keyboard (equipped with a numeric keypad) that is as large as it is ergonomic.

Under the hood, we find a simple but effective technical sheet, consisting of an AMD Ryzen 5 7530U processor, an AMD Radeon integrated graphics circuit, 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD to host your files . Connections including four USB ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, a 4-in-1 card reader and an Ethernet port complete the package.

Designed for productivity, the ThinkBook 16 G6 ABP also has a Full HD webcam and an integrated microphone which includes a noise filtration system to improve call quality. A fingerprint reader positioned on the power button as well as facial recognition software are also present, in order to improve the security of the computer and protect the confidentiality of your work in all circumstances.

For the French Days, Lenovo is lowering the price of the ThinkBook 16 G6 ABP, without OS, by 300 euros, which brings it down to 599 euros.

ThinkPad: a robust and powerful PC for professionals

With the ThinkPad range, and in particular the P14s model, Lenovo intends to offer portable PCs dedicated to the most demanding workers. It is a real workstation that you can take anywhere with you, including in the field.

To achieve this result, the manufacturer has focused on a robust design. Here, no frills: the chassis made of hard plastic goes to the essentials to ensure the resistance of the computer. A profitable choice, since this PC passed Mil-SPEC tests (US Department of Defense standard) with flying colors as well as more than 200 quality controls in extreme conditions (temperature, dust, water, etc.).

In order to support the most demanding professionals, Lenovo has installed a technical sheet in the ThinkPad 14S which, again, focuses on robustness. An AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 7840U processor coupled with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM does most of the work, while an integrated graphics processor and 512 GB storage supplement them. On the screen side, a 14-inch IPS panel provides the display. A solid configuration capable of handling demanding applications without suffering too much.

The manufacturer has also not skimped on the security aspect of its device. In addition to a fingerprint sensor and facial recognition software (like on the ThinkBook), the ThinkPad has a dTPM module (Discrete Trusted Platform Module) which allows data to be encrypted on the SSD.

An efficient webcam as well as all the necessary connectivity are also included. Delivered without OS to reduce the bill, this PC benefits from a reduction of 500 euros for the French Days thanks to the code FRENCHDAYS. A combination which takes it from 1,399 euros to 899 euros until May 7.

IdeaPad Pro: good display and performance below 800 euros

A compact, high-performance computer with a high-end display: that’s basically what Lenovo is offering with its IdeaPad Pro 5i. This versatile machine will be able to accompany its user both for working and for relaxing, and should not shy away from the task when faced with somewhat demanding applications, or even light gaming.

To ensure the performance aspect of this machine, Lenovo has focused on an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H processor, an Intel Arc integrated graphics processor, 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB storage.

But its real asset undoubtedly remains its screen, a 2.8K IPS panel which benefits from a refresh rate of 120 Hz as well as 100% coverage of the sRGB spectrum. Enough to guarantee a fluid and precise display, whether in gaming or for more creative applications (photo or video).
