A Plague Tale Requiem: An even darker story, new weapons and a new region

A Plague Tale: Requiem has just unveiled a new trailer, which shows, among other things, the evolution of the characters of Amicia and Hugo.

A story that darkens even more

A Plague Tale: Requiem picks up some time after the events of the first game, Amicia and Hugo still struggling to survive as best they can. It seems that more and more people have discovered Hugo’s power, which puts them in even more danger than before.

Indeed, Hugo is not a little boy like the others: he has a mysterious and ancient power that allows him to control hordes of rats. Amicia, his big sister, protects him while trying to figure out what makes his brother so special. The two children are left to fend for themselves, traversing a plague-ravaged France as vermin swarm all around them and soldiers hunt them down.

In the trailer, we can see our two heroes having fun, like the children they are, before returning to the present moment, or Amicia is even tougherand or Hugo seems almost lost in his anger and connection with the rats.

Weapons for Amicia?

If Amicia could only defend herself with the help of fire and her intelligence in the first opus, this time she is armed. You can see it with a crossbow added to his arsenal, while Hugo continues somehow to control huge colonies of rats.

Finally, we also see the two children on a lush island, an island which would be supposed to allow Hugo to find the remedy for his ills. This one seems to have more and more difficulty controlling himself, and we can guess that each use of his power brings him a little closer to what could well be his death.

A Plague Tale: Requiem will be available on October 18, on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
