A fan shared on the subreddit dedicated to the game the discovery of a new treasure chest in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Located in the library of Hyrule Castle, the chest was revealed by lighting all the torches in the room, a fairly easy task with flaming arrows or a torch. In other games, such a mechanic could unlock an achievement, but not at Nintendo.
To verify this trick, another Redditor tested the discovery and confirmed that the reward was only 300 Rupees. “300 rubies…” one user comments under the Reddit post, while another adds: “All that for that, really?”. In response, the author of the post points out that this reward is useful for runs that require money to buy armor. Note that this player already has more than 50,000 Rubies, so he is not really short of money. However, players deplore the absence of truly interesting loot.
Some were hoping to find an Opal, a fairly accurate estimate of the average content of chests in Tears of the Kingdom. Despite the disappointment, this discovery continues to fuel players’ passion for the game, fueling discussions on various forums. Video games are beautiful, aren’t they?
