The most sensitive companies will benefit from a “cyber shield” combining auditing, advice and training.
Set up in 2023, this system is a state contribution to help small businesses with their investments. “The State does not have to replace responsibility: it is up to everyone to take shelter. But the urgency is there. On average, one in two SMEs goes bankrupt within 18 months after an attack”, said Jean-Noël Barrot. The Minister also recalls that in 2021, one in two companies was the target of a cyberattack.
Olympics 2024 cause for concern
This envelope of 30 million will also help individuals to set up a “scam filter”. This will be launched in beta phase during the summer of 2023, with the objective of being operational during the 2024 Olympic Games, a sensitive period. Always with the aim of protecting any French Internet user, 2023 will see the establishment of a “cyberscore” inspired by the nutriscore deployed on food.

Finally, the envelope will extend the program to secure communities and public bodies, launched a year and a half ago. 950 establishments had then benefited from it. With this part of the budget, 50 additional communities will benefit from it, while 150 others already secured will have a reinforced route. The smallest town halls have not been forgotten since the government will launch a subscription service at the end of 2023 including a domain name, messaging and hosting services.
