Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has not said its last word, and it will soon offer new free content, but not only that. Its future clearly looks bright.
At the start of the year, we were able to welcome a new opus for the Prince of Persia franchise. We thought it had disappeared forever, with a remake of The Sands of Time struggling to come to fruition. Finally, she made her comeback in a game that juggles between modernity and a return to basics. A real success acclaimed by critics and players, and which still has surprises in store. Indeed, we have just learned that the future of the title was going to be bright, including new content… free!
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will offer free content
In our columns, The Lost Crown received a rating of 8/10. It’s hard not to salute the artistic direction and its worked metroidvania aspect. Regardless, it was a good way to say, “licensing isn’t dead, here’s proof.” So, will the developers stop there? The answer is no. On X (formerly Twitter), the game’s director, Mouni Radi, posted a message thanking the community for their positive feedback. The good news is that Ubisoft Montpellier intends to reward fans with new additions.
In short, free updates will be deployed in the coming months for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Besides, there is one that should arrive soon. In addition, we know that they will add new game modes. Unfortunately, at the moment, we can’t really tell you more. Our man didn’t go into detail, which is understandable. A little surprise doesn’t hurt. In the meantime, we are invited to train with Artaban, and that’s what we’re going to do.
This is why I am particularly happy to tell you that we are far from finished. We have some interesting plans for the next few months. These plans include free updates adding more content and modes. Modes that you will have to challenge, explore and just enjoy. Our first free update is coming soon.
