A young man disappears in Méribel, the CCTV images are puzzling

Shortly after starting his seasonal job in a restaurant in Méribel, a young man named Maël Briand disappeared on January 20. It has been almost two weeks since he gave any sign of life.

A new disturbing disappearance shakes France. On January 20, a young man named Maël Briand disappeared in the Savoyard resort of Méribel, where he had started seasonal work in a restaurant a few weeks ago. Seen for the last time at a roundabout in the early morning, the young man has not given any sign of life for two weeks now.

The day after the disappearance of Maël Briand, his relatives did everything to help the police by collecting as many testimonies as possible. “I hope for new testimonies. Maybe someone saw him or picked him up…”, has also entrusted the sister of the disappeared, Yaëlle, this Tuesday with RMC. For the moment, no tangible information has been discovered.

The young man has not given any sign of life for two weeks

“He was motivated, nice, correct. He had only worked three days, we had just met, but it was starting well. There was no problem”, underlined the manager of the restaurant Les petits oignons, contacted by RMC Crime. All the people who met the young man shortly before his disappearance are formal: the latter has never had any strange behavior that could have explained a voluntary disappearance.

Dressed in a long puffer jacket, ripped jeans and red shoes. The dark-haired, brown-eyed boy has his phone turned off and impossible to locate. Investigations are continuing in and around the station, in particular with the intervention of a canine team and helicopters. Hoping not to come across any bad news…
