Jean-Pierre Gallati (55) is one of the few SVP politicians who are actively committed to compliance with the Corona measures. Now, of all people, he has tested positive for the virus. The Aargau health authorities announced on Monday evening.
Gallati had himself tested on Monday afternoon because he had mild symptoms, specifically a runny nose. Since then he has been in isolation at home and has been working from there. In this way, government activity can be maintained. Gallati’s wife has not yet shown any symptoms, the authorities write. But she wants to be tested tomorrow, Tuesday.
Thurgau government councilors in isolation
Gallati isn’t the only health director in isolation. The two Thurgau government councilors Walter Schönholzer (55, FDP) and Urs Martin (42, SVP) recently tested positive. They are also vaccine breakthroughs – both were fully vaccinated.
After the positive test results, the other Thurgau government councilors want to be vaccinated. Many are excited about the result of the CVP government councilor Carmen Haag (47). She had told the Thurgauer Zeitung in mid-August that she had not been vaccinated. (til)
