The Achpark intersection in Lauterach is one of the accident hotspots in Vorarlberg. On Thursday afternoon, a pedestrian was hit by a car while crossing the street on the protective path.
The driver who turned off simply overlooked the woman and was probably blinded by the low sun. The passer-by fell during the collision and remained lying on the street with unspecified injuries. Several accident witnesses immediately rushed to the woman’s aid and treated her until the emergency doctor arrived. She was then taken to the Bregenz State Hospital by the “Red Cross” emergency services. An alcohol test carried out on the driver of the accident was negative.
