A woman (39) makes her way to the summit of the Moléson on Saturday afternoon, according to the cantonal police in Fribourg. Then the accident happens: the woman suddenly loses her footing and falls several hundred meters down – she is fatally injured.
Shortly after 3.30 p.m., Rega informed the police about the mountain accident on the “Gros Moléson” slope. Police officers and the alpine investigators from the canton police immediately go to the scene of the incident.
Initial investigations show that the woman wanted to walk alone to the top of the Moléson. The exact circumstances of this mountain accident are now being investigated. (gin)
