Accor: in negotiations to increase to 100% of the capital of Potel & Chabot

(Boursier.com) — The hotel group Accor announces that it has entered into exclusive negotiations with Andera Partners and associated investors to take control of Potel & Chabot.

The negotiations relate to the acquisition by Accor of the 63% stake in Potel & Chabot which it does not currently own. Following this transaction, Accor would become the sole shareholder of Potel & Chabot, which will be integrated into the Group’s Luxury & Lifestyle division. The proposed transaction is subject to the usual regulatory authorizations. It should be finalized in the fall of 2023.

Founded in 1820, the Potel & Chabot group, now Momense, has recognized know-how in the organization of tailor-made prestigious receptions and has established itself as the caterer for major events in France and abroad through its two brands, Potel & Chabot and Saint-Clair.

Its offer is based around three activities: receptions for large companies and private customers, major sporting and cultural events including the French Open at Roland Garros, hospitality at PSG, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Saut Hermès, as well as the management of exceptional reception venues located in the heart of Paris such as the Pavillon Gabriel, the Pavillon Cambon, the Hôtel d’Evreux and the Pavillon Dauphine. In 2023, Potel & Chabot should generate sales of around 130 million euros and contribute positively to the group’s results.

For Accor, this operation is part of its strategy to simplify minority shareholdings. The group intends to take advantage of this complete merger to provide its customers with the best services and tailor-made reception expertise.
