A beautiful friendship between Adriana Karembeu and Michel Cymes
In the podcast Current Women, journalist Marie-Amélie Druesne asked Adriana Karembeu about the first time she saw Michel Cymes. She tells : “I was invited to the Magazine de la santé, as an ambassador for La Croix rouge (…) I remember that I was late for the show and I didn’t have time to get ready”. She explains : “And since my agent had warned me that Michel liked me, I wanted to be up to it. I was disgusted because I was not beautiful but good… he was happy, he didn’t see anything!“.
She also looks back on the birth of the show: “When the producer offered me to do The extraordinary powers of the human body with Michel Cymes I said to myself: ‘Ah that’s cool, I know him a bit from afar. It’s great!'”. And his opinion has not changed since then, quite the contrary. “Michael is extraordinary. It’s a candy, really, it’s a gift. He’s amazing, now he’s a friend, he’s my big brother. He is friends with my ex-husband, we sometimes spend vacations together. I know his wife, she is a love. I wonder if my daughter is not in love with her son, in short!“, she confides.
Adriana Karembeu also returns to the faithful and helpful character of her colleague, always present when we need him, for a health concern or to provide friendly advice. “I can tell her anything and that’s beyond the limits of the show”, she adds. “He really is a friend”, sums up the host. During filming, she reveals: “What did we laugh at and what did we go through. I don’t think there is a TV equivalent. We were incredibly lucky. My god it was good and that I will miss it… There’s going to be a before and an after, that’s for sure.“. A beautiful friendship, which will probably not stop with the end of the show.
