While new territorial measures to fight Covid-19 were presented by Prime Minister Jean Castex on Thursday February 25, 2021, with in particular local reconfinements, a detail (not so small) was spotted by internet users. Indeed, while Jean Castex was leading the government press conference while announcing that the virus "has been gaining ground for a week", a graphic was presented on the screen. So, on the television of thousands of French was displayed a French flag … upside down. The Prime Minister presented at that time a European comparison on the number of doses of vaccines injected, on which many flags were displayed. The little shell, presenting France in "red white blue" instead of "blue white red", was broadcast twice … and was quickly noticed. On social networks, many French people have rebelled against this blunder which has flouted our national flag.

Note that this is not the only flag to have been abused on this graphic: the Italian flag suffered the same fate, becoming "red white green" instead of "green white red".
