Aegon: profits up sharply in 2021


(CercleFinance.com) – Aegon publishes net income of 1.7 billion euros for 2021, compared to 55 million in 2020, as well as operating income up 11% to 1.91 billion and free cash flow increased from 530 to 729 million year-on-year.

The Dutch insurer will propose a final dividend for 2021 of nine euro cents per share at its 2022 annual general meeting, bringing the annual dividend to 0.17 euro per share, or an amount of 348 million euros.

Stating to ‘stay on track to achieve the target of 400 million euros in expense savings by 2023’, Aegon raised its 2022 free cash flow forecast from 100 million to a range of 550 to 600 million.
