After five months of waiting, Prime Video is finally renewing this fantastic series rated 4.1 out of 5!

It’s been almost five months since season 2 of “Good Omens” was released by Prime Video and we’re waiting to know if there will be a sequel…

After a long wait, a lot of doubts and a cry for help from Neil Gaiman to encourage fans to watch season 2 of Good Omens, the news has finally broken. Prime Video has given the green light for one final trip to hell.

The platform has renewed Good Omens, the fantasy comedy rated 4.1/5 on AlloCiné and which began as a mini-series, for a third and final season. Production of the series, produced by BBC Studios and based on the novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, is expected to begin soon in Scotland, we learn. The Hollywood Reporter.

I am very happy to finally be able to finish the story that Terry and I imagined in 1989 and 2006“, Neil Gaiman said in a statement this Thursday. “Terry was determined that if we made Good Omens for television, we could see the story through to the end.

He pursues : “The first season was all about avoiding Armageddon, dangerous prophecies, and the end of the world. The second season was sweet and kind, even if it ended less happily than a certain Angel and a certain Demon would have hoped. In the third season, it will again be about the end of the world. Armageddon plans go awry. Only Crowley and Aziraphale can hope to fix it by working together. And they don’t talk to each other“.

Remember that the demon Crowley (Rampa, in the French version) and the angel Aziraphale are played respectively by David Tennant and Martin Sheen, whose complicity lights up the screen.

While the first season adapted the graphic novel Good omens, by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman published in 1990, the unexpected second season went further and invented a new story. Neil Gaiman will continue to serve as showrunner, executive producer and writer, while preparing the Anansi Boys series for the streamer.

The whole question now is whether Crowley and Aziraphale will manage to mend their ways when the angel Aziraphale has agreed to replace Gabriel (Jon Hamm) in Heaven after Crowley made a beautiful and grand declaration of love for him…
