The Lapsus$ group is diversifying its targets with this cyber-security index which targets the French number one in video games.

Recognized by Ubisoft, the attack occurred at the beginning of last week. It logically echoes the operations carried out against NVIDIA and Samsung by this same group called Lapsus$.

An attack without future consequences?

While NVIDIA’s attack quickly led to the dissemination of sensitive data, the attack on Samsung has not yet led to major revelations. The same goes for Ubisoft: no leaks have yet been noted. On the other hand, the editor confirmed the attack.

Without especially trying to minimize it, the Frenchman is not very talkative. The press release published for the occasion is content to mention a ” temporary interruption on certain games, systems and services “. He adds, however, that as a precaution, we have launched a company-wide password reset “.

Ubisoft, which does not detail the exact targets of this attack, concludes by specifying that ” all our games and services are working normally » before being reassuring: « there is no evidence that players’ personal information was accessed or exposed “.
