Better late than never. A little over a year after the arrival of the first Macs under processor
Apple M1, Dropbox
is deploying an update allowing its macOS application to fully support the Californian giant’s ARM chips.
Dropbox finally offers an application natively compatible with Apple M1 chips. The online storage and file sharing service announced this compatibility in October 2021, before embarking on a beta period last January.

Two and a half months later, here we are: Dropbox’s macOS app is fully compatible with Apple-designed ARM chips. If you have already installed the Dropbox application on your Mac, you just have to wait for its automatic update for this support to be deployed.
As reminded Apple Insider, other alternatives to DropBox exist on Mac, including iCloud Folder Sharing and Microsoft OneDrive . The latter should also benefit very soon from native support for M1 chips.
