Nearly thirteen years after winning the first season of Masterchef and almost ten years after the terrible loss of two of her children, professional cook Anne Alassane is expecting her ninth child. In an interview with France Dimanche, she reveals that this baby is “a priori, carrying a Down syndrome”.
Anne Alassane, this budding cook has become a real chef at the head of two restaurants in Limoges. It was in 2010 for the very first edition of Masterchef As the forty-year-old became known, her victory allowed her to transform her grandparents’ farm into a farm inn which was then decorated with the Order of Agricultural Merit. Since then, the chef has gone through terrible ordeals, which made headlines across France. In 2012, an accidental fire hit his farm inn La Pays’Anne in the town of Montauban, a tragedy which cost the lives of two of his daughters, Rose aged 4 and Louise aged 2.
