Pto counter the new variant of Covid-19, the famous Omicron, which is clearly more contagious than its predecessors, Austria and Italy have just made the wearing of an FFP2 mask compulsory in certain places; this model being more protective than conventional surgical masks. For the time being, the government has not seen fit to take such a step. But the demand for FFP2 is increasing sharply, as is the demand for self-tests. The candidate of rebellious France, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, even called on Sunday January 9 that “everyone has FFP2 masks, starting with the teachers”.
