AIDA will be offering cruises again from October – what travelers need to know

Cruise fans will be happy, but a little skepticism should also resonate: As the company reported in Rostock, the seven-day trips start and end in Civitavecchia / Rome and lead to Naples, Catania and La Spezia, among others. The passenger capacity of the "Aidablu" has been significantly reduced. Originally the start of the season was planned for November 1st with a trip of the "Aidamar" around the Canary Islands.

Aida ships dock in Rome, Naples and Catania

Thanks to the long layover, there is a particularly long time for the eternal city of Rome, as the company reports. AIDAblu stays overnight so the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Vatican City and more can be explored extensively. Further travel dates are October 24 and 31, 2020, and November 7, 14, 21 and 28, 2020. According to Aida, the new cruises to Italy can be booked from 899 euros per person.

Aida has a security concept for cruise passengers

According to the company, a health and safety concept should ensure that guests can enjoy their vacation in a relaxed and safe manner. A Covid-19 test is included in the travel price, and a negative test result is a prerequisite for starting the journey. The excursion program on land takes place exclusively as part of guided excursions in order to be able to ensure compliance with all hygiene measures. Should a Covid 19 infection arise, a transfer or accommodation will be organized and taken over by Aida Cruises, it said.
