(CercleFinance.com) – The Directorate General of Armament (DGA) signed a contract, on behalf of the Ministry of the Interior, for the acquisition and maintenance of 10 H160 in law enforcement configuration for the National Gendarmerie.
France is the first country to order the H160 for law enforcement missions.
Linked to the purchase contract for 169 H160M for the French Ministry of the Armed Forces, this order is part of the Stimulus plan to support the national aeronautics industry announced by the French government in 2020.
“The contract with the French Ministry of the Interior is an important step for the H160” said Bruno Even, CEO of Airbus Helicopters. ‘Developing this new configuration for the H160 in collaboration with an experienced client such as the National Gendarmerie is the key to the success of the program’.
