Airbus: interested in hydrogen, with Kansai Airports – 06/10/2022 at 09:46

(CercleFinance.com) – Airbus announces that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Kansai Airports group to develop the use of hydrogen at the Japanese airports of Kansai, Osaka and Kobe.

The two parties plan to conduct a study on the development of infrastructures linked to the use of hydrogen in the aviation sector.

Each partner will leverage their expertise to help define the potential opportunities that hydrogen can provide for the decarbonization of the aerospace industry.

‘Hydrogen is one of the most promising zero-emission technologies because it can be created from renewable energy and produces no emissions. Renewable hydrogen will help decarbonise not only aircraft, but also all ground transportation associated with airports,” said Stéphane Ginoux, Head of North Asia Region for Airbus and President of Airbus Japan.
