Airbus loses its CFO Dominik Asam leaving for SAP – 08/31/2022 at 09:52


(AOF) – Airbus announced the departure of Dominik Asam, its chief financial officer (CFO), in early March 2023, after almost four years in office, to become financial director of the German business software publisher SAP. Dominik Asam had joined Airbus as Chief Financial Officer, reporting to CEO Guillaume Faury, and member of the Executive Committee in April 2019. when he was CFO of the semiconductor company, Infineon Technologies AG. He had replaced Harald Wilhelm at the time.

With a degree in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Munich, obtained in 1994, Dominik Asam began his professional career in 1996 in the Investment Banking division of Goldman Sachs Inc., notably in Frankfurt, London and New York. In addition to his studies in Munich, where he is from, Mr. Asam holds a Master’s degree in business management from Insead and a degree in mechanical engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris.
