Charles Courtenay, 19th Earl of Devon, and “Baywatch” actress AJ Langer have separated after 18 years of marriage. The ex-couple has now announced this.
Allison Joy “AJ” Langer, 49, and Charles Courtenay, 19th Earl of Devon, met in Las Vegas in 2002 – it was love at first sight. In 2005 they tied the knot at his royal family home, Powderham Castle near Exeter. Their relationship has children Joscelyn, 16, and Jack, 14. But now the “Baywatch” star and the aristocratic lawyer have separated. The British noble house announced this in a statement.

“After careful consideration, Charles Courtenay, the Earl of Devon, and the Countess of Devon, Allison Joy Courtenay, have made the decision to separate and divorce,” said the statement from Powderham Castle, according to the Daily Mail. . “Charlie would like to express his gratitude for his partnership with AJ and all that they have created together as parents, friends and partners in Los Angeles and in Powderham. The well-being of their wonderful children is his top priority while he and AJ will focus on co-parenting in the coming years.” Charles is also grateful for the support of the California and Devon communities and asks that his family’s privacy continue to be respected.
As the news portal “The Blast” previously reported, Courtenay filed for divorce in a Los Angeles court at the end of October. The documents show the separation date to be September 30th. The reason given for the end of the marriage was “irreconcilable differences”.
