Alec Baldwin made his first statement after the accident on the “Rust” set in which he shot a camerawoman with a prop gun.
Alec Baldwin (63) spoke up for the first time after the tragic accident on the set of the film “Rust”. On twitter writes the actor who shot a camerawoman with a prop gun: “There are no words to express my shock and sadness over the tragic accident that cost the lives of Halyna Hutchins, a woman, mother and deeply admired colleague. I cooperate fully with the police investigators to clarify how this tragedy came about. ” In a second tweet He added: “I am in contact with her husband and offer my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, her son and everyone who knew and loved Halyna.”
Director was also injured
Santa Fe County police had previously confirmed that there had been a fatal incident on the set of the film in the US state of New Mexico. Among other things, the industry portal “Deadline” has published a statement in which the responsible service confirms that Baldwin had fired a prop weapon.
A spokesman for the production confirmed the US industry portal previously that there was an accident on set in which a prop gun misfired. According to the film crew union IATSE, there was supposed to have been a live cartridge in it. The 42-year-old camerawoman Halyna Hutchins was killed, the injured director Joel Souza (48) was taken to the Christ St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe and is said to have already left the clinic.
