Alec Baldwin has had hip surgery, according to his wife. Hilaria Baldwin reports on Instagram about the procedure.

Actor Alec Baldwin (65) has had hip surgery. This is reported by wife Hilaria Baldwin (39) in an Instagram post. “Alec got a new hip today, it’s been necessary for a long time,” she writes about a selfie with her husband, who is still visibly battered and smiling at the camera from the hospital bed.

Actor had chronic pain

“We’ve been through so much together. As your partner and as you heal, I wish so much that you can put this very intense chapter of chronic pain behind you and improve your quality of life,” the 39-year-old continued. She then thanked the doctors and hospital staff who had brought her husband “safely through this situation”. “And you. Thanks to you,” Alec Baldwin commented on the post, also thanking his wife for his support, with whom he has seven children.

The surgery followed an eventful few weeks for the actor. In mid-May, Baldwin announced that filming of the western film “Rust”, in which camerawoman Halyna Hutchins (1979-2021) died in an accident on the set in 2021, was completed. On Instagram the actor called the completion of the production “a miracle”. “Last day of filming ‘Rust’ in Montana,” he wrote alongside a photo from the set. It was “a long and difficult road”. “But today we are reaching the end of the road,” said Baldwin. He then congratulated director Joel Souza (49), cinematographer Bianca Cline and “the entire cast and crew” on completing the film.
