Alfred Biolek: That changed in his Corona crisis

The everyday life of Alfred Biolek (85) has also changed in the Corona crisis: "Unfortunately, my little daily walk to the bakery is no longer possible," he says in an interview with "Frau im Spiegel". In the first few weeks, he never left his apartment. "At 85, I belong to the so-called risk group."

The TV star further explains: "I can no longer receive visits and long-planned invitations have been canceled in the past few weeks." According to the circumstances, he is doing well, he adds. "Many others were hit harder than me." Biolek finds help from adoptive son Scott (50), with whom he talked a lot at the beginning of the crisis. "What exactly happens and what that means for us. That calmed me down and relieved my fear," said Biolek, who also reveals that the first week of the lockdown "really worried" him. Despite the restrictions, he is currently enjoying a piece of cheesecake. "And I'm almost as happy about flowers."

He is looking forward to it after the crisis

After the crisis, Biolek is looking forward to "that friends can visit me again and that I can also meet people from my close circle of friends who are not as well as I am," as he says in the interview. He also looks forward to sitting in the cafe, eating cheesecake and reading the newspaper. "When I think about it like this, there are many things that I would like to do and that bring me joy," said Biolek. "But we're not back to normal yet and the mood is still depressing. But we seem to be on the right track."
